It's been who knows how long since I last updated this blog. Judging from the pictures I'd say at least two years. But I am here to give it the ol' college try once again! Our family is off on a grand adventure cross-country. We left last Friday (June 14, 2013) on a road trip from Utah to Pennsylvania. We've seen some cool sights and taken lots of pictures, so I figured a good way to preserve what we're up to is by blowing the dust off this blog and depositing our memories here. So, without further adieu, I give you...
The Sadler Saga Travel Blog-Road Trip 2013!
We left Utah around 1:00 pm on the 14th and drove to Frisco, Colorado (near Vail) where we met Dad and Juell (Nonno and Nonna) for a couple of days of camping.
We hiked and threw rocks in the lake...
... roasted marshmallows, and saw a beaver lodge, complete with a beaver swimming in the pond nearby.
On Sunday, we left the mountains for Colorado Springs to spend a couple of days at Nonno and Nonna's house where we saw some of the sights like Garden of the Gods and Manitou Springs, and celebrated an early brithday for the twins.
On Tuesday it was back in the car for a three-day journey across the plains of Colorado and the mid-western state of Kansas, where we visited the home of U.S. President Dwight D. Eisenhower...
...pet the residents of the Greyhound Hall of Fame..
All while passing through some breathtaking country.
